Letter to the Honorable Montgomery Delegation

Dear Senator/Delegate,

I am pleased to add my support and endorsement for MC 612-06 regarding condominium conversion. You are well aware of the many challenges we face in providing affordable housing for far too many of our residents and workers throughout the county. Our initial effort in this endeavor to resolve many of the difficulties we currently encounter should first attempt to preserve and maintain as many of the current housing options residents have today. Too many of our citizens are negatively impacted by the increasingly large number of rental properties that are converting to condominiums without appropriate transition under existing legislation.

I have reviewed a number of the proposed amendments and other legislative efforts to address the aforementioned concerns and I urge you to consider these changes that are consistent with MC 612-06 as well. Thank you so very much for your utmost attention to this important matter.
